ROLE SUMMARY:

The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating a sit-down forklift along with general warehouse duties including loading and unloading trucks. This individual must strongly focus on safety and be aware of their surroundings. They must follow directions and work well with employees/clients, staff, and customers.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FORKLIFT DRIVER CAN LOOK LIKE:

  • Positioning forks, lifting platforms or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials
  • Unloading and stacking material by raising and lowering the lifting device
  • Loading or unloading materials onto or off of pallets skids or lifting device
  • Inspecting product load for accuracy and safely moving it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
  • Performing a variety of routine tasks to assist in production activities
Working Conditions: 
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required for extended periods.
  • Regular handling of materials; may involve repetitive motions.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels and occasional dust.
  • Must be able to work in a paced environment and meet production deadlines.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An accredited high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Attention to detail
  • 1-3 Years experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment
  • Customer-service mindset
  • Desire to learn and grow with a great organization

LOCATION: St. Peters, Missouri
SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm; Friday: 6:00am - 2:30pm 
PAY: $18 per hour
