The duties of this role will include designing strategic sales plans and assessing costs + competition. In addition to being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate exceptional negotiation and leadership skills. This individual will be responsible for meeting BCI’s annual sales targets and margins.
Duties:
- Generate and reach out to leads via networking, cold-calls, and emails.
- Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, manage sales cycle to close new business, and increase market share in existing customers
- Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
- Cultivate lasting relationships with customers to grow customer loyalty and to understand their business needs.
- Assess costs, competition, and supply/demand to identify selling prices
- Estimate sales volume and profit for new and existing customers
- Partner with the Operations, Production and Procurement teams to work on all estimates
- Complete all actions required to onboard new clients including credit review, payment terms and vendor systems setups
- Design and implement strategic plans to reach sales targets. KPIs are Top Line Sales Revenue, GPM and close-rate.
- Draft detailed and accurate sales reports to the Executive Team and to the company’s Board of Directors
- Utilize Nulogy to maintain accurate records of all estimates/opportunities
- Establish a sales process, establish SOPs and document training
- Understand and stay up to date on manufacturing + packaging landscapes and industry trends
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a relevant field is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ combined experience in similar roles
- In-depth knowledge of sales/marketing techniques and best practices
- Capacity to manage various projects
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs with strong skills in Excel
- Salesforce system knowledge/experience preferred
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, written and verbal skills

Physical Requirements:
This position requires full range of busy motion as well as the ability to sit and stand for extended time periods. The position requires the ability to lift, move and carry samples that could weigh up to 50lbs.
Work Environment:
This position is frequently exposed to machinery/equipment within the production facility and other prospects’ facilities. The noise level is usually moderate and there may be some moderate exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
Full Time - Salary plus commission
