ROLE SUMMARY:
As a Job Coach, you will empower and support adult employees with disabilities in achieving their full potential in competitive employment positions. As a Job Coach, you'll play a vital role in training, supervising, and mentoring clients, while fostering relationships between work site personnel and employees to ensure their success.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A JOB COACH CAN LOOK LIKE:
- Collaborating with work site personnel to provide comprehensive training and supervision to our participants, equipping them with the skills they need to excel in their roles.
- Monitoring the employee's activities and reinforcing the supervisor's directions.
- Fostering positive relationships between work site personnel and employees, promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment that nurtures employee growth and development.
- Assisting in resolving any performance issues that may arise, using your problem-solving skills and expertise to find effective solutions.
- Supporting the employees in achieving their goals as outlined in their plan, celebrating their successes and offering guidance and encouragement along the way.
- Offering advice and guidance on workplace accommodations, ensuring that employees have the resources they need to thrive in their roles.
- Communicating with competitive employment staff regarding progress of employees.
- Completing and submitting all applicable forms in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Must work well people and a background working with Adults with Disabilities is a plus.
- Able to maintain your own schedule and have reliable transportation.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Prior experience working with people with disabilities highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
PAY: $18 per hour
HOURS: Days and hours will vary! Please note - 2-15 hours is typical but will increase with job placements.
