ROLE SUMMARY:
As a Competitive Employment Advisor, you'll be the catalyst for transformation. Your mission is to provide direct and indirect services to individuals with disabilities, helping them secure and thrive in meaningful employment. This role involves developing work opportunities, offering career development services, providing on-the-job coaching, and ensuring job retention. You'll be a supportive partner, maintaining a flexible work schedule to accommodate the employment goals and schedules of individuals receiving services and be on call when issues arise that warrant support or action.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT ADVISOR CAN LOOK LIKE:
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
3–5 years of experience in Employment Services preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
Demonstrated passion and commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
CPR and First Aid Certification required (training provided if not currently certified).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and remain self-directed.
Ability to problem-solve effectively in real-time environments.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with employers, families, and service partners.
Strong understanding and consistent use of professional boundaries.
Flexible schedule to meet the needs of individuals served.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel locally.
LOCATION: St. Peters, Missouri (working with Clients in St. Charles and surrounding counties)
PAY: $21-22/hr
