Job Summary:

(BCI), a Missouri nonprofit that operates a first-class co-packaging and co-manufacturing facility while supporting the employment of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through this partnership, BCI serves as our agent for procurement, logistics, shipping/receiving, and billing. At our core, we believe in innovative solutions that provide high throughput with quality parts at a fair price. H&M is a CNC Swiss, Lathe and Mill job shop. Our knowledgeable staff will efficiently produce quality parts. We operate under a quality management system that is certified to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. This allows us to provide seamless shipping of products anywhere in the world. The Machine Operator is the primary lead at BCI.

Duties:
 
  • Operate various types of 3 & 5 Axis CNC machines (Fanuc controls) using different types of metals.
  • Accurately use measurement tools such as Micrometers, Calipers, Depth Micrometer, Pitch Micrometer and Optical Comparator.
  • Safely and effectively operate machines and equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspections.
  • Read “drawings’ blueprints with GD&T.
  • Modify CNC machine programs as needed per job.
  • Maintain daily productivity log sheet.
  • Conduct regular maintenance of machinery, to include adjusting fluid levels.
  • Feed bar loaders
  • Inspect and chamfer bars
  • Operate bench grinder
  • Conduct metal inventory checks
  • Operate chip spin

Qualifications: 
Mechanical aptitude is required
Ability to lift and maneuver parts or components weighing up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Read, interpret, and follow production drawings, blueprints and procedures to ensure accurate part production.

Experience:
Entry-level candidates must demonstrate mechanical aptitude; prior CNC experience is preferred by not required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and maneuver parts or components weighing 40 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read, perform mathematical functions.
  • Ability to operate CNC measuring tools.
  • Ability to reach, turn and twist above and below the waist.
